Severouralsk city is not to be left without heat or hot water

2005-09-14 Îïóáëèêîâàíî: RusEnergy

ZAO Uralsevergaz (a subsidiary of ITERA Oil and subsidiary Gas Company) has stopped supplying gas to Regionalnaya Toplivosnabzhayushaya Kompaniya (RTK LLC) regional heat supply company. It is responsible for Severouralsk city boiler-house. As a result, the citizens had to do without hot water for a week.

“The only reason for us to take such an extraordinary measure is the RTK payment default for fuel, supplied under contracts in effect”, - Oleg Vlasov, Uralsevergaz press secretary, explained to RusEnergy.

He stressed that by the moment when gas delivery was terminated, the RTK debts have exceeded RUR 18 million. RTK has not been paying gas since last April, that is since the previous heating season.

To ensure continuous hot water supply for citizens of Severouralsk, Uralsevergaz did not impose any sanctions against the debtor. In spite of the fact that RTK guaranteed to fully pay its debts off, the promise has never been fulfilled. According to company management, the debt as of September 13, 2005 was RUR 6.014 million.

According to Uralsevergaz press service, gas submission will be fully resumed as soon as RTK fulfills its contractual payment obligations. Severouralsk is not to be left without gas, hot water or heat in the coming heating season.
