ITERA motor-glider will take part in aerospace exhibition MAKS-2005

Flight validity certificate has been issued for the motor-glider, which is going to play an essential part in the ecological program called Flight of Hope, has been handed over to of Sterkh Foundation. As a flock leader, this unique motor-glider, developed with OOO NGK ITERA financial support, will direct the young sterkhs (Siberian white cranes) from their nesting places in Kunovatsk swamps (Yamal Region, Russia) to the wintering areas in Iran. While the participants of the unique experiment on sterkh population recovery continue their preparations for Flight of Hope, the newly born motor-glider, having received its “birth-certificate”, is also preparing to the first flying holiday. The organizers of ÌÀÊS-2005 International aerospace exhibition invited the motor-glider designers to participate in the aircraft show, which will take place on August, 16–21 in the city of Zhukovsky, situated near Moscow. According to OOO NGK ITERA Press Service, the extralight aircraft, being a state-of-the-art in aeronavigation engineering and capable to land in field and water, will undoubtedly interest visitors of ÌÀÊS-2005, where it is going to demonstrate its high capabilities in the air. When the holiday is over, the motor-glider will start its daily routine service: teaching sterkhs to fly.
