ITERA to construct a methanol plant in Sverdlovsk Region

ITERA International Group of Companies plans to start methanol production in Sverdlovsk Region. The plant is to be constructed on the basis of OJSC Uralkhimplast. According to ITERA press service, Uralkhimplast is both a leading formaldehyde producer and a large methanol consumer. The enterprise possesses the entire production infrastructure as well. The project is to start being fulfilled in 2006. The planned plant production capacity is 250 thousand tons of methanol per year. A half of this amount will be used for Uralkhimplast carbamide tar production; the other half will be supplied to other consumers.
