Professor Vladimir Litvinenko, Dean of Saint – Petersburg Mining Institute named after G.V. Plekhanov, and Igor Makarov, Chairman of Board of Directors, ITERA Oil and Gas Company, signed a cooperation agreement.
According to ITERA press service, ITERA became a trustee of the Mining Institute, one of the oldest and leading technical establishments in Russia. The company is to contribute to its educational, scientific and technical development as well as to preservation and reconstruction of historical buildings of the institute and student dormitories.
Besides, ITERA will be engaged in implementation of a range of programs aimed at supporting scientific papers; teaching students and post-graduates for Mining, Geology and Energy complex of Russia.
The Mining Institute will teach personnel and instruct specialists for ITERA enterprises, it will also provide consulting services and support industrial projects.
ITERA is to open a company’s lecture room in the Institute.
During the ceremony, Vladimir Litvinenko, Mining Institute Dean, said that cooperation with ITERA, a famous oil and gas company, would lead to successful joint projects in development of high education in the domain of minerals and raw materials of Russia.
