ZAO Purgaz has plans to build a second booster station (BS-2) at Gubkinsky gas field in 2008. The start-up of BS-2 will provide gas production at the planned production level of 15 BCM.
Currently, the first stage of BS-2 construction is at completion phase. This stage envisages commissioning of two new units which will provide required gas pressure. All main works are scheduled to be completed by September 2006. Upon completion of the tests the project will be commissioned at the end of September 2006.
The second and the third stages (2007 and 2008 respectively) also stipulate commissioning of two units annually. Project is realized by NPO Mashinostroitelny zavod imeni M.V. Frunze and OOO Alfa, - announces Interfax-Ural.
ZAO Purgaz was founded in 1998 to develop a senomanian reservoir of Gubkinsky gas field (Yamal) with resources of 400 BCM. Purgaz owns the license for development of Gubkinsky gas field, OOO Noyabrskgazdobycha (subsidiary of OAO Gazprom) is a production operator there. ITERA owns 49% interest in Purgaz, Gazprom - 51%.
