Edward Rossel today has conducted a working meeting with Vladimir Makeev, Management Board Chairman of ITERA Oil and Gas Company and Vladimir Kuzyushin, General Director of ZAO Uralsevergaz. The event has been reported by the governor’s press-service.
The meeting was also attended by Alexander Levin, Sverdlovsk oblast administration head and Vladimir Molchanov, first deputy chairman of Sverdlovsk oblast government, the minister of industry, energy and science.
As is known, according to Gazprom decision, ITERA has been supplying gas to Sverdlovsk oblast since 1999. Over the time elapsed, annual supplies of blue fuel have increased from 15.3 billion cubic meters in1999 to 18.1 bcm in 2005.
Under the Agreement made between Sverdlovsk oblast government and ITERA, it has been planned to deliver some 71 bcm of natural gas to the consumers in the Central Urals in 2005-2008. However, as was stated by the participants in the working meeting, the forecasts put the incremental gas consumption growth over the period as high as 4.8 billion. During the past seven years 265 new gas consumers appeared in the oblast, with consumption more than 1 billion cubic meters of gas. It is expected that 120 – 150 more consumers with annual consumption between 600 and 800 MM cubic meters will emerge in the next two years. This current year the consumers in the Central Urals will receive 19 bcm of gas, which is 1.4 bcm more than provisioned by the Agreement.
Rossel has assured the holding’s leaders that they would receive comprehensive support in their effort to set up new power generation facilities in the Central Urals. He reminded the gasmen of their commitment to joint the initiative declared by the President of Russia to develop domestic agriculture. In particular, they are expected to be actively participating in restructuring rural areas in the Urals region expanding low pressure gas distribution networks in the oblast.
ITERA leaders have agreed to all of the above proposals voiced by Rossel, which were duly and specifically reflected in the minutes signed by the parties following the working meeting.
