VNIPIneft has become the main engineering contractor for the proposed gas chemical plant in Sverdlovsk region

As a result of the tender launched by UralMethanolGroup (a joint venture between ITERA Oil and gas Company LLC and Uralkhimplast) VNIPIneft has become the main contractor for the design of a gas chemical plant in Sverdlovsk region.
As it was previously reported (ref. RCCnews.ru) in July 2006 ITERA Oil and Gas company and Uralkhimplast Group have signed an agreement for the construction of a deep gas processing facility in Nizhni Tagil to produce organic chemical products. The capacity of Phase 1 production will be 400 thousand tons of methanol per year while the project cost amounts to 110-120 million Euro. Production will start in 2008.
