On December 12-13, a working group of Gazprom and its subsidiaries made a visit to Bratsk, Irkutsk region. The managers and experts from Gazprom Group (Promgas, Tomstransgas, Zapsibgazprom, Irkutskgazprom), representatives of ITERA Oil and Gas Company and Administration from Irkutsk region and Bratsk visited Bratsk gas condensate field and studied the town districts from where gasification could start.
A meeting with potential gas consumers was held at Bratsk administration – large industrial and town utility companies: Tsellulozno-Kartonny Kombinat, Irkutskenergo, Bratski Aluminievy Zavod, etc. Discussed issues were potential volumes and timing for future gas supplies.
Deputy General Director of Promgaz, Nikolai Storonski says Gazprom intends to provide the northern Irkutsk areas including Bratsk and Bratsk region with gas from small and mid-size fields. The potential consumers confirmed their interest in new fuel and announced potential demand. For example, Tsellulozno-Kartonny Kombinatwill need at least 60 MMCMY.
