Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, received Igor Makarov, Chairman of ITERA Oil and Gas Company, - the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan reported on September 14.
The guest thanked the Head of the Turkmen State for the possibility of the personal meeting and congratulated him on the successful completion of the Silk Way-2009 International Motor Rally. The rally was organized on Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov’s initiative. Presidents of Turkmenistan, Russia and Kazakhstan gave their parting words to the racers at the final leg of the rally.
The Head of State listen to the Company's operations plan and the near-term prospects as well as the progress of major projects entrusted to ITERA in Turkmenistan.
Igor Makarov expressed gratitude to the Head of State of Turkmenistan for reliance on his company in developing the promising offshore block 21 in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea. The appropriate Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) between the Government Agency on Control and Usage of Hydrocarbon Resources under the President of Turkmenistan and ITERA was recently signed in Turkmenbashi.
Igor Makarov expressed his interest to continue joint work in the promising market of Turkmenistan and reconfirmed the readiness of his Company to participate henceforth the most active way in implementing new large-scale projects initiated by the President of Turkmenistan for the sake of happiness and prosperity of the Turkmen people.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov stressed during the meeting that in placing the stake in fuel and energy complex of the country on advanced technology and experience of the world leading companies, Turkmenistan was interested in the same attitude on the part of ITERA Oil and Gas Company.
The Head of the holding thanked Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov for the high confidence and assured him that the Company would strictly abide by its undertakings and use its entire experience and potential for that matter.
